The best place to store your stone is right in the oven. It can handle temperatures well above what any oven can produce (over 1400 degrees Fahrenheit!).
Storing your stone in the oven has many benefits:
- It helps your oven work better by helping even out the temperatures.
- The stone stays clean and dry for your next use.
- Keeping the stone in the oven means you move it less, i.e., you won't drop it!
- Each time you use the oven, the stone will burn off any moisture it may have gathered through use.
If you do not want to store it in the oven, then use the original box to store it in. The stone is supported well and it is easy to store on a shelf in a horizontal position.
